Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health is taking steps to raise its minimum wage to $15 per hour.
The health system announced it will raise its minimum wage from $12 to $13, effective Feb. 3, and plans to increase minimum wage to $15 over the next two or three years.
Mandy Eaton, executive vice president, people and culture at Cone Health, said the organization is phasing in the raise to $15 "to be certain that raises we provide are sustainable even when we face financial headwinds."
