Sacred Heart Health System to Lay Off Up to 150

Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola, Fla., plans to lay off roughly 3 percent of its workforce, between 125 and 150 employees, according to a Pensacola News Journal report.

Hospital executives pointed to declining Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and lower readmission rates as the reason for the cuts. The layoffs will be spread across the system's facilities, according to the report.
