Providence Hospital Nurses Vote to Join Union

Washington, D.C.-based Providence Hospital's registered nurses voted to unionize Tuesday, according to a Washington Business Journal report.

The nurses voted 232 to 66 to join National Nurses United, according to the report. The hospital has about 400 RNs.

A Providence Hospital spokesperson told the Washington Business Journal the hospital will work with its nurses to keep standards of care high during change brought about by healthcare reform.
