1. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta seeks to hire more nurses
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta will hire hundreds of recent nursing graduates this year, according to a WSB-TV report. Megan Grove, vice president of human resources at the hospital, told the TV station the hiring allows nurses to "put their hands on and apply what they're learning" in a pediatric setting.
2. TeamHealth to expand, create 250 jobs
TeamHealth, a clinician services provider based in Knoxville, Tenn., will expand its current headquarters, creating approximately 250 new jobs. TeamHealth attributed the $6.7 million expansion to anticipated growth over the next three to five years, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
3. University of Iowa Children's Hospital seeks to fill about 200 positions
The University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City seeks to fill about 200 open positions before the hospital opens its doors to patients in December, according to a KCRG report. Most of the open jobs are in nursing, as well as areas such as food and nutrition and pharmacy.
