The world's most expensive drug, a breast cancer treatment & 2 more FDA approvals

Four drugs or medical devices approved by the FDA since May 24:

1. Zolgensma is Novartis' $2.1 million gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy, an inherited muscle-wasting disease that is often fatal to patients before age 2. It is the world's most expensive drug.

2. Piqray, which comes in a tablet form, is the first PI3K inhibitor for the treatment of breast cancer. It is approved for use in combination with endocrine therapy fulvestrant.

3. SurgicalAR is an augmented reality platform that enhances small, otherwise difficult to see details for surgeons performing various surgeries.

4. Nervio Migra is a wireless device that stimulates acute migraine relief. It  attaches to a patient's upper arm.
