Delays in delivery of construction materials and equipment caused a delay in the opening of a new hospital in Arkansas, De Queen, Ark.-based Sevier County Medical Center officials told the Texarkana Gazette Jan. 22.
The Sevier County Medical Board's hospital will be around 42,000 square-feet and includes an outpatient rehab facility. It will employ about 105 people.
The turnover of the building to the county is expected by Aug. 5. Hospital officials anticipate it will take around six weeks to prepare the building for its new opening date of Sept. 12.
