OpenMarkets, GNYHA Services extend agreement

Chicago-based OpenMarkets and the Greater New York Hospital Association Services have renewed a group buying agreement in which GNYHA Services hospital members can participate in certain OpenMarkets programs at a discounted rate.

OpenMarkets, a service and technology company, leverages data, technology and acute-care provider needs to find savings opportunities. The three programs GNYHA Services members can utilize at a discounted rate are MarketBuys, group purchases surrounding the specific needs of hospitals in the network; SpotBuys, point-of-sale purchasing solutions for individual purchases; and Used Asset Services, facilitating the purchasing of pre-owned equipment.

"We are pleased to add the value of these OpenMarkets programs to our contract portfolio and give our members access to more solutions that can help them drive efficiencies and reduce capital equipment spend," said David Zimba, GNYHA Services vice president of custom contracting, in a news release.
