Royal Philips and TriHealth, a five-hospital system based in Cincinnati, partnered Feb. 9, and the system's new Heart & Vascular Institute expects to benefit from the yearslong arrangement.
TriHealth will "adopt Philips' integrated portfolio of cardiology solutions," according to a Philips news release. The Heart & Vascular Institute — located on Bethesda North Hospital's campus in Montgomery, Ohio — is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute, according to TriHealth's website.
The partnership includes technology management plans, and the institute — which doesn't yet have a waiting room — will feature patient monitoring technologies, advanced clinical decision support tools and smart alarms, "which can help clinicians intervene before patients have an adverse event," the release said. It will also have a "tablet-based ultrasound that provides telehealth capabilities."
