Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced the launch of the Maryland Supply Chain Resiliency Program, a new initiative aimed at supporting resilience-building activities for Maryland manufacturers, in a Dec. 14 release.
In a joint effort by the Maryland Department of Commerce, in coordination with the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the initiative will provide opportunities for Maryland manufacturers to learn and share best practices for improving their supply chains and navigating through the current crisis to improve outcomes and reduce risk. Manufacturers will also have the opportunity to connect with local suppliers, partners and customers.
Grants for technical assistance will be available to manufacturers that lost resources because of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as those whose workforce or supply chain was disrupted.
