FedEx drops air-delivery contract with Amazon

FedEx will not renew its contract with Amazon for U.S. domestic express air deliveries, the courier said.

The contract with Amazon, which expires at the end of June, only encompasses domestic air services. FedEx will continue to partner with Amazon on ground deliveries, it said in an announcement last week.

FedEx said the move will allow it to serve the broader e-commerce market. U.S. package volume from online shopping is expected to double by 2026, FedEx said.
