Concordance partners with software company on ecosystem for supply visibility

Concordance Healthcare Solutions, a Tiffin, Ohio-based medical supplier, will partner with software company Palantir Technologies "to power the first, fully integrated medical supply chain ecosystem," the companies said Oct. 3.

In an effort to strengthen the supply chain and its lack of transparency, Concordance and Palantir are launching a platform for healthcare manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, providers and government health agencies to share data on lead times and product availability.

"Issues like product back orders and substitutions, that historically could take hours of resources away from frontline staff, can be remedied within minutes," Concordance said in a news release. "Ultimately, this improves patient care and reduces the burden on healthcare providers."

The ecosystem platform is only available for licensed and "active members within the manufacturer and provider communities."
