The Valencia, Calif.-based Alfred Mann Foundation has launched a medical device start-up company called Medallion Therapeutics, based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, according to a news release.
Medallion, which will be led by Donald Deyo, a former Medtronic executive, is developing implantable drug delivery infusion pumps to provide improved safety, connectivity and molecular infusion capabilities, according to the report.
"These capabilities address both the requirements of currently approved clinical indications, as well as enable future expansion into new indications in areas such as diabetes and neurodegenerative disease," reads the report.
