The Chicago-based Association for Healthcare Resources & Materials Management has released a white paper called "Cost, Quality, and Outcomes: The Supply Chain Value Equation" that addresses tools, strategies and initiatives to turn the supply chain into a strategic element of an organization.
The whitepaper offers a discussion on AHRMM's Cost, Quality and Outcome Movement, a summary of organizational qualities and transitional steps to move from a volume-based system to a value-based system, results of the 2013 Healthcare Provider Executive Supply Chain Survey and information on the new AHRMM Mentor Program.
The paper was written in response to the AHRMM Executive Thought Leader Forum in San Diego this summer.
