A new MS drug, an injection for inflammatory arthritis & more: 4 recent FDA approvals

Four recent drugs or medical devices approved by the FDA since March 1:

1. Cimzia is an injection for patients with nonradiographic axial spondyloarthritis, a specific inflammatory arthritis. It is the first treatment for the specific type of arthritis.

2. Jatenzo is an oral testosterone capsule to treat hypogonadism, a condition in which the body doesn't produce enough testosterone.

3. Mayzent is approved to treat patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis.

4. Ambrisentan, manufactured by Zydus Cadila, is used to treat pulmonary hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs.
