Six deals between medical suppliers, devicemakers, health systems and more, as reported by Becker's Hospital Review since the end of June:
- Teleflex has sold a significant portion of its respiratory device business to Medline for $286 million in cash.
- Surmodics, an Eden Prairie, Minn.-based medical devicemaker, has acquired devicemaker Vetex Medical for $39.9 million.
- The equipment and supplies unit of Mon HealthCare, a health system based in Morgantown, W.Va., struck a joint-venture deal with Dasco Home Medical Equipment, a durable medical equipment maker.
- Premier and Honeywell have agreed to partner to expand domestic production of nitrile exam gloves.
- PartsSource, a company that connects hospitals and clinics with medical device vendors and repair companies, will be acquired by Bain Capital Private Equity.
- Cardinal Health completed the sale of its Cordis medical device business to private equity firm Hellman & Friedman for about $1 billion.
