Emory, Guidehealth create population health collaborative

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare has partnered with Guidehealth, a Dallas-based, AI-enabled healthcare startup specializing in value-based managed services, to launch a population health collaborative.

The initiative aims to expand primary care access to more than 350,000 people across Georgia, according to a Nov. 18 joint news release.

The collaborative will integrate Emory's primary care services and affiliate physician network to provide coordinated care and improve health outcomes.

More than 500 Emory and affiliated primary care providers will participate, offering care, education, research and community outreach across the state, the release said. Providers will aim to see patients at least once annually.

"The Emory Healthcare Network and our primary care division will work together to build and scale its population health management capabilities across the state to proactively care for patients," Emory Healthcare CEO Joon Lee, MD, said in the release.

Emory Healthcare is a 10-hospital system with more than 490 provider locations.
