Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai has expanded its international footprint to Singapore.
The health system recently opened a global office in Novena, Singapore, which will serve as its regional base for patient care coordination and strategic collaborations across Southeast Asia. Representatives at the office will help connect patients, as well as partnering local physicians, to Cedars-Sinai experts in cardiology, oncology and neurology, among other specialty areas. They can also coordinate care continuity and virtual visits for patients with Cedars-Sinai experts.
"By first meeting international patients in their home community, we can establish a comprehensive, patient-centric continuum of care with the goal of improving treatment outcomes for even the most complex cases," Robert Figlin, MD, deputy director of Cedars-Sinai Cancer and the Steven Spielberg Family Chair in Hematology-Oncology, said in a March 13 news release. "We work together with patients' local physicians to provide each patient with a personalized treatment plan."
The location marks Cedars-Sinai's third international office. The system also has office sites in Mexico City and Shanghai, with additional offices slated to open in Qatar and Ecuador in the second half of 2024.
