Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., will change its name to Grandview Medical Center when it moves to a new $300 million hospital in early 2016, according to an Al.com report.
The hospital, which is part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, will keep its name until the move.
Trinity Medical Center received approval to build the new hospital despite opposition from Brookwood Medical Center and St. Vincent's Health System, both in Birmingham, according to the report.
