OhioHealth Expands Partnership With Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine

OhioHealth, based in Columbus, has entered into a 25-year affiliation agreement with Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, to become the college's "preeminent" education partner, according to a Columbus Business First report.

Under the agreement, Ohio University students will do rotations at OhioHealth facilities. The health system will also expand its residency program, and OhioHealth physicians will become adjunct faculty for the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The College also plans to open an extension campus in Dublin Ohio, in 2014 with 50 students, many of whom will train at OhioHealth's Dublin Methodist Hospital.
