Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health is creating a new brand for a family care facility that it will open in Candler, N.C., in the coming months, according to a Mountain Xpress report.
While still part of Mission Health, the facility, called Mission My Care Plus, will have a different logo and brand. Mission Health's logo is a green cross with a dogwood flower within the cross; Mission My Care Plus will have a different color and additional text, according to the report.
The different brand reflects a different approach to healthcare, as the new family care facility will focus on primary care. The 11,000-square-foot facility will include 15 patient exam rooms, two medical procedure suites, a full pharmacy, an X-ray machine and a physical therapy suite.
"This is where healthcare is moving. Healthcare is moving toward a regional network of care, and being easy, accessible and close to home," said Rowena Buffet Timms, Mission Health's senior vice president of government and community relations, in the report.
Mission Health will develop additional primary care facilities in the future, but there are no specific plans yet, according to the report.
