Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y., announced the completion of its $70 million Mission 2012 construction project.
The project expanded the emergency department by nearly 50 percent and added Lourdes Fast Track — a six-room area within the ED designed to care for minor emergencies. The hospital expanded the diagnostic imaging department, renovated the reception and waiting area and added two operating rooms and an outpatient laboratory.
In addition, Lourdes built a new ambulatory care center to provide outpatient care, including rehabilitation services. The center also houses a 17-room gastroenterology endoscopy suite that is more than triple the size of the previous GI lab.
