1. Johns Hopkins, Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Brazil Form Partnership
Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine International signed an affiliation agreement with Hospital Moinhos de Vento of Porto Alegre in Brazil.

2. University of Rochester Medical Center, Apollo Hospitals in India Discuss Affiliation
University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center and Chennai, India-based Apollo Hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding concerning a potential affiliation.

3. UPMC, Pitt Open Khazakstan Medical School
A July agreement between Kazakhstan's Nazarbayev University and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Pitt School of Medicine will help NU open its first medical school.

4. Wake Forest Innovations Partners With South Korea-Based Health System
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center announced that its commercialization arm, Wake Forest Innovations, signed a memorandum of understanding with CHA Health Systems, based in Seoul, South Korea.

5. Cleveland Clinic Inks Consultant Deal With Beijing Hospital
Cleveland Clinic signed a contract with an academic medical center in Beijing, where Cleveland Clinic physicians will consult on the opening of a new brain health facility.
