Louisiana Hospital CEO Withdraws Name Before Starting New Job at Palm Drive Hospital

Richard Robinson, a CEO candidate who had been appointed last month to head up Palm Drive Hospital in Sebastopol, Calif., has been withdrawn from consideration, according to a report in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Mr. Robinson was supposed to start the administrator job April 29. He is currently the CEO of Women's and Children's Hospital in Lake Charles, La. The hospital's interim CEO, Neil Todhunter, was supposed to step down in May but said he would remain until a replacement is found, according to the report.

The news about Mr. Robinson was communicated in a letter from Brim Healthcare, the Tennessee-based management company the hospital hired last August to try to turn itself around financially following a 2007 Chapter 9 bankruptcy filing, according to the report.
