Washington, D.C., is the U.S. city with the highest health security ranking, according to The Economist's new Safe Cities Index 2019 report.
The report assessed the safety of 60 major urban areas across the globe based on digital, health, infrastructure and personal security. Health security was determined by factors such as access to healthcare, access to safe and quality food, number of hospital beds and physicians per capita, environmental policies, life expectancy, emergency services and more.
