To identify the best and worst cities for an active lifestyle, WalletHub analysts compared the 100 biggest U.S. cities on 38 relevant metrics that range from average monthly fitness club fee to running trails per capita. Each measure was graded on a 100-point scale, with 100 representing the most favorable conditions for a physically active population.
