Ten healthcare companies made the latest edition of Fortune's Best Workplaces for Millennials, which lacks presence from hospitals and health systems.
Last year, 13 healthcare companies were recognized as workplaces for millennials by Fortune. Hospitals and health systems were missing from that edition of the list, too.
To be eligible for Fortune's Best Workplaces for Millennials list, companies must be Great Place to Work-Certified and must have at least 50 U.S. millennial employees. Companies with 1,000 employees or more are considered for the large category; employers with 50 to 999 people are considered for the small and medium category.
The list is based on nearly 500,000 responses received from millennials at companies who were eligible for the 2023 Best Workplaces for Millennials list.
Cisco Systems, an information technology company based in San Jose, Calif., earned the top spot overall for 2023. The company employs 39,909 people, with half having tenures of five years or less. Cisco has ranked No. 1 among Fortune's millennial list since 2020.
