Radiopharmaceutical Comprehensive Centers of Excellence, by state

Only 41 healthcare facilities in the U.S. have been designated Radiopharmaceutical Comprehensive Centers of Excellence by the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging.

In nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals are used to diagnose and treat disease, including cancer. Treatment occurs through molecular imaging, a detailed type of imaging that allows physicians to measure the body's chemical and biological processes, according to the SNMMI website

Vetted by the SNMMI, Radiopharmaceutical Centers of Excellence have met predetermined standards and qualifications of training, equipment, personnel and experience required to care for patients undergoing radiopharmaceutical therapy.
