AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, a two-hospital system with campuses in Atlantic City and Pomona, N.J., announced a new contract with health insurer Aetna.
Patients who use both of AtlantiCare's hospitals, as well as the system's other facilities, will now be in-network within Aetna's southern New Jersey network. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Currently, Aetna covers 370,000 people in southern New Jersey and is now contracted with 22 hospitals and more than 5,700 primary care physicians and specialists.
