The hospital and health systems receiving credit downgrades include:
• Einstein Healthcare Network (Philadelphia) — from Baa1 to Baa2 (Moody's)
• Dickinson County Healthcare System (Iron Mountain, Mich.) — from BB+ to BB- (Fitch)
• Dignity Health (San Francisco) — from A+ to A (Fitch)
• Halifax Regional Medical Center (Roanoke Rapids, N.C.) — from BB+ to BB (Fitch)
• Little Company of Mary Hospital (Evergreen Park, Ill.) — from A+ to A (Fitch)
• Mercy Medical Center (Canton, Ohio) — from BB+ to BB (S&P)
• Sanford Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.) — from AA- to A+ (S&P)
• St. Peter's University Hospital (New Brunswick, N.J.) — from Baa3 to Ba1 (Moody's)
• West Penn Allegheny Health System (Pittsburgh) — from B+ to B- (S&P)
However, in the same month-long span, six hospitals and health systems received credit upgrades. This month's hospitals and health systems that garnered credit upgrades include:
• Barnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.) — from BBB to BBB+ (Fitch)
• Highland Hospital (Rochester, N.Y.) — from BBB+ to A- (S&P)
• Northern Arizona Healthcare (Flagstaff) — from AA- to AA (S&P)
• Poudre Valley Health System (Fort Collins, Colo.) — from A2 to A1 (Moody's)
• St. Peter's Health Partners (Albany, N.Y.) — from BBB to BBB+ (Fitch)
• Trinity Mother Frances Health System (Tyler, Texas) — from BBB to BBB+ (Fitch)
Six hospitals and health systems also had positive rating affirmation changes, while three hospitals and health systems had negative rating affirmation changes.
