The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services announced 14 health insurers applied to offer plans for individuals or small businesses on the state's online exchange, according to a report by Crain's Detroit Business.
The plans must be approved by the insurance department and by federal regulators before they can be sold through the marketplaces, which are slated to launch nationwide Oct. 1, according to the report.
