The University of Queensland Medical School-Ochsner Health earned a 99% match rate from the National Residency Match Program on Match Day 2024, which took place March 15.
On Match Day, U.S. residency programs reveal which medical students have been selected to continue their training with which programs. This year, the match program saw almost 45,000 applicants.
With its 99% match rate, UQ Ochsner MD Program surpasses the national average of 93.5% for U.S. medical schools. Of the 80 medical students from the UQ Ochsner MD Program who participated, over 60% of program graduates matched in their top three preferences.
