San Diego County recorded its first death of the flu season, a 52-year-old woman, the week of Nov. 4, according to KGTV.
County health officials say the woman had underlying medical conditions. It is unknown if she had been vaccinated.
San Diego County recorded 26 lab-confirmed flu cases in the week ending Nov. 3. The county has seen 155 cases this season, compared to 383 this time last season.
Last season, 342 San Diego County residents died from flu complications, including two children.
