The National Quality Forum has endorsed 64 measures that cover patient safety, cardiovascular care and other aspects of patient care.
Of the 64 newly endorsed measures, NQF has endorsed 21 time-limited endorsed measures focused on patient safety, surgical care, infectious disease, healthcare systems and cancer care. NQF time-limited endorsement is applied to measures that meet all of NQF's endorsement criteria with the exception of field testing. The measures were endorsed after the NQF's board determined field testing results were adequate.
The measures include venous thromboembolism prophylaxis, selection of prophylactic antibiotic and timing of prophylactic antibiotics. For a full list of the 21 newly endorsed measures, click here.
