The National Quality Forum announced its board of directors has endorsed 12 patient safety measures focused on complications.
As part of its patient safety endorsement project, NQF evaluated 21 measures, including those that have been endorsed for at least three years and are now undergoing NQF endorsement maintenance, according to the release. NQF endorsed 12 measures, including two new submissions. The measures are related to falls, pressure ulcers and healthcare-associated infections, among others.
A party may request reconsideration of an endorsed quality measure; appeals are due by Jan. 15, according to the release.
