The National Quality Forum announced its board of directors unanimously chose Christine K. Cassel, MD, as its new president and CEO, effective mid-summer 2013.
Dr. Cassel, board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine, served as president and CEO of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the ABIM Foundation for 10 years. She is also past president of the American Federation for Aging Research and the American College of Physicians.
