The Massachusetts Department of Health and Human Services is seeking proposed quality measures that would be used to uniformly report quality across the state.
The potential quality measures will become the Standard Quality Measure Set would eventually be made available to state hospitals, clinics, primary care providers, accountable care organizations and insurance carriers. The state department has identified three specific priorities for the quality measures:
• Efficiency and system performance
• Care transition and coordination
• High-priority setting and clinical focus areas:
All proposed measures must be submitted before March 16.
