Maine will soon administer a statewide survey to assess and compare patients' experiences with their physicians, according to a Healthcare Finance News report.
Under state law, the Maine Quality Forum (created under former Gov. John Baldacci and the state legislature) is required to collect data on healthcare quality and publicly report providers' performance. Although the exact details surrounding the survey are still being ironed out, it is likely the state will use the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Clinician and Group Assessment of Healthcare Providers Survey.
