Registered nurses from Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, who have been in contract negotiations with the hospital for more than a year, are protesting for safer nurse-to-patient ratios, according to a local FOX news report.
According to the news report, Mountain View nurses have been assigned to at least three critically ill patients at a time. The Agency for Healthcare, Research and Quality recommends the assignment of no more than two patients to a registered nurse at one time.
