California Nursing Ratio Law Did Not Hurt Nursing Skill Level

Study findings published in Health Affairs show that hospitals continued to primarily utilize highly skilled nurses, despite concerns that a 1999 California law that established a minimum nurse-to-patient staffing ratio would hurt hospital nursing skill level.
