Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia announced it would pledge an additional $1.1 million to support Partnership for Patient Care, a quality and patient safety collaborative led by southeastern Pennsylvania hospitals.
The Partnership for Patient Care launched in 2006 with a focus on improving healthcare quality, including infections and readmissions. Earlier this year, IBC contributed $500,000 to support the Partnership for Patient Care's efforts.
