Hospitals can now preview their hospital-specific reports for the fiscal year 2013 Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program through July 19, according to an AHA News Now report.
Hospitals can download the reports at My QualityNet. If a hospital suspects an error in its Excess Readmission Ratio calculations, it should notify CMS by sending an email to CMS_readmissions_reduction@mathematica-mpr.com by July 19.
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, hospitals with higher-than-expected readmission rates will receive reduced Medicare payments beginning in FY 2013.
