Broadwater Health Center in Townsend, Mont., has submitted a plan to the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services to correct deficiencies at its 10-bed hospital in an effort to eventually reopen the hospital, according to an Independent Record report.
The hospital closed July 12 because it failed to fully correct problems identified by state inspectors. Broadwater Health Center's 35-bed nursing home also closed July 6 for a similar reason, with the problems identified by the state largely regarding timely reporting of certain conditions and irregularities, according to the report.
Broadwater Health Center plans to implement all corrections for the hospital by Aug. 20. The state would then assess the hospital to determine whether it can reopen.
