Physician-Led Initiative in Virginia Focuses on Standardizing Quality Care

Local physicians in Virginia have kicked off a new quality improvement partnership designed to share best practices and measure performance, according to a Times Dispatch report.

Virginia Quality Care Partners is open to providers in the Richmond-area. A total of 37 specialties will be represented in the partnership, and each specialty will develop a set of performance standards. Individual physicians who participate in the partnership will then be measured on their performance on each standard.
