The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology collaborated with Joint Commission Resources on the third edition of a workbook to help infection preventionists implement infection control programs.
The workbook features new chapters on cleaning, disinfection and sterilization. The workbook also provides detailed explanations of Joint Commission infection prevention and control programs, among other offerings.
"This publication addresses infection prevention and control in healthcare settings of all types," said Kathleen Arias, one of the lead authors of the workbook. "It provides tips, strategies and tools for identifying and improving IPC practices."
