Boston rehabilitation hospital receives $2M for spinal cord injury equipment

The Travis Roy Foundation donated $2 million to Boston-based Spaulding Rehabilitation hospital to provide spinal cord injury equipment to patients, Maine Public reported Oct. 30.

The Travis Roy Center for Enhanced Independence at the hospital will provide assistive technology for spinal cord injury patients.

Patients will be trained on the voice-activated technology in the hospital before taking it home.
