Here are seven nursing home and assisted living facilities that have opened, closed or changed ownership since Nov. 9:
- San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based Ensign Group acquired Brighton Care Center, a 108-bed skilled nursing facility in Brighton, Colo., and Malley Transitional Care Center, a 162-bed skilled nursing facility in Northglenn, Colo.
- The skilled nursing facility at Riverhead’s (N.Y.) Peconic Bay Medical Center is set to close in early 2023.
- Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, S.D., will close Jan. 14 due to staffing and financial issues.
- Louisville, Ky.-based ScionHealth is set to start construction on a 53-bed long-term acute care hospital featuring a rehabilitation unit in Orlando.
- The North Idaho State Veterans Home, the first veterans nursing home in Idaho, opened in Post Falls on Nov. 11.
- Columbus, Mont.-based Beartooth Manor will close Jan. 7 due to staffing issues.
- Basin, Wy.-based Three Rivers Health has closed its nursing home.
