- Leading Age New York, an 80-member nursing home and care facility group, is suing New York state over a minimum staffing law and seeking an injunction to prevent the law's enforcement.
- New York Attorney General Letitia James sued Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing Rehabilitation in Woodbury for allegedly diverting more than $22.6 million in Medicaid and Medicare funds to the owners' pockets.
- New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit against Comprehensive at Orleans, alleging the nursing facility used the state's Medicaid program for personal profit.
- New Orleans nursing home operator Bob Dean has reached a $12.5 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit related to a botched evacuation of more than 800 older adults to a warehouse during Hurricane Ida, which resulted in the death of several residents.
- Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey reached a settlement agreement with a Rowley-based nursing home over failure to implement appropriate infection control procedures at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
