Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital is seeking a meeting with city officials to discuss intersection safety after a hospital employee was fatally struck by a car at an intersection near the hospital earlier this month.
Melissa Tancredi, a 42-year-old hospital technician, was standing outside during a break on Jan. 17 when a car came onto the sidewalk and hit her. She died of her injuries.
Yale-New Haven Hospital requested a meeting with the city after the incident to see what can be done to make the intersection safer. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday.
