The World Health Organization released a new suicide prevention toolkit Sept. 10 in accordance with World Suicide Prevention Day.
About 800,000 people between ages 15 to 29 kill themselves every year . For every person that dies due, about 20 others attempt suicide.
The WHO's suicide prevention tool kit contains guidance on community suicide prevention efforts, including targeted resources for refugees and migrants, elderly individuals and young adults.
The toolkit also outlines an action plan for how communities can confront social, psychological and cultural factors that lead to suicide.
