The Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Shreveport, La., is holding a town hall and outreach event Thursday to allow various stakeholders from the community to share their thoughts, concerns and ideas with hospital leaders, The News Star reports.
Individuals invited to attend the event include veterans and their families, congressional and senatorial stakeholders, Veteran Service Organizations, local media partners and other community organizations.
According to the report, the aim of the meeting is to build and strengthen OBVAMC's commitment to ensuring service members, veterans, families and other beneficiaries have "an opportunity to share their experiences both positive and those experiences that can be improved by OBVAMC staff."
VA representatives will be available to discuss such topics as VA healthcare enrollment and eligibility, VA benefits and claims assistance, patient advocate services and more.
